The good news is that the PMD predicts a shift in weather patterns after Eid. A series of weak westerly winds are expected to enter the western parts of the country on June 18th, bringing a chance of gusty winds and scattered thunderstorms.

The southern part of Kansas City got the most rain, with 6.62 inches recorded near 87th Lane and Mill Creek in Lenexa.  Due to the heavy rain, the weather service issued several flash flood warnings.
